Preparation saves sessions and reduces costs. Builders who arrive with a clear problem statement, identified users, and knowledge of their data sources move through design significantly faster. This page explains what the program is, what we expect from you, and what you get in return.
Double Diamond, with governance teeth
We use the UK Design Council's Double Diamond methodology (open source, CC BY 4.0) — extended with VeroNex governance layers that standard design frameworks don't address: ethics screening, source verification, regulatory mapping, IP protection, and autonomous operation rules.
Qualification
Before we spend your time or ours, we establish whether your project fits. A structured conversation — not a form, not a sales pitch — determines whether you belong in the Werkstatt.
What we look for
- Clear information bottleneck with measurable value
- Human-in-the-loop output — not autonomous execution
- Domain expertise you can substantiate
- Commercial viability or institutional backing
What we reject
- Weapons, surveillance, manipulation
- Products displacing human judgment in life decisions
- Sanctions-listed entities or tobacco
- Autonomous execution without human review
Werkstatt — Strategic Design
The Werkstatt is where "I want to build something" becomes a governed specification. You enter a dialogue with a VeroNex AI instance pre-loaded with our methodology. Eight structured steps. One exit document — your SIP Design Blueprint.
Schmiede — Build & Beyond
The Schmiede is where design becomes working product. Your Blueprint becomes a governance protocol, data architecture, MVP outputs, and a tested system. Then compliance, commercial setup, launch, and long-term service. Seven phases. One outcome — a revenue-generating governed agent.
What you get. What we check.
What You Get
- A working, governed SIP in your domain
- Your own RIGOR protocol adapted to your field
- Sample dashboards, reports, and outputs
- Testing protocol and known limitations documented
- VeroNex Quality Seal certification
- Builder Agreement protecting your domain IP
- Deployment security (anti-theft, anti-extraction)
- One-year service warranty
- Community access (Werkstatt / Schmiede forums)
What We Check
- Ethics — continuously, non-negotiable
- Domain expertise — you must be the expert
- Problem clarity — can you articulate the bottleneck?
- Output chain — human decides, AI informs
- Regulatory fit — can we operate legally in your domain?
- Commercial viability — will someone pay for this?
- Governance rigor — real verification, not cosmetic
- Source quality — Primary / Secondary / Tertiary
- IP respect — your domain IP vs. our methodology
What we won't build
VeroNex has firm ethics commitments. These are not negotiable, regardless of commercial value.
- Weapons systems or components
- Surveillance technology for political oppression
- Products designed to manipulate, deceive, or exploit users
- Products for sanctions-listed entities
- Tobacco industry tools
- Autonomous execution without a human decision point
- Processing of minors' personal data without safeguards
Dual-use technology, military/defense applications, healthcare decision-support, biometric processing, and other sensitive domains receive case-by-case review — not automatic rejection.
What happens after?
Your SIP is designed and built. Three paths forward.
Refine your Blueprint. Add another SIP to your portfolio. Return to the Werkstatt with what you've learned and build a second or third governed product. Most serious builders do.
Your Build Package is complete. Deploy it internally with your own team. No further VeroNex engagement required. Ideal for individual and small company builders.
